Drinks at Hurry Curry

Consider this a special mid-week entry. Don’t worry, this does not count as a meal, so you’re still getting your money’s worth.
It’s been a rough week at work, I needed a drink. Little did I know, Hurry Curry of Tokyo has this great happy hour! And it’s not your regular happy hour, they have some seriously good and inventive Saketinis, which, of course, are Martinis made with Sake instead of vodka or gin. They’re a great deal at $2 a pop.
Appetizers are $2 during happy hour too, but the portions are a bit small and some of them are not quite worth it.
Hurry Curry Saketinis have a fruit theme going.
There’s the Pomegranate:

The usual green Apple Martini

The delicious Lychee Martini

You can see the Lychee plunked down on the bottom there.
But the best of the best here at Hurry Curry has got to be the Asian Pear Martini. It’s rich and full of distinct flavor, deliciously sweet but not without a little kick at the end to let you know it’s got Sake in it.
It’s so good I’m going to put a second picture up just for the heck of it.
And of course, here’s what this blog is all about, pictures of the food!
Here’s some shrimp…

and a variety of appetizers, all at $2. The chicken is well worth it.
I really like hanging out here, food’s pretty good and inexpensive, the drinks are great. The atmosphere is easy, relaxed, and well accentuated by the great photographs on the wall. I’m surprised by how no one shows up for this great deal.
So bring your coworkers by after work, order up some Saketinis, say hi to Katie the cute waitress, and tell her you found them on 50meals.com.
